Reuniones mágicas

About the project

In 2019, Reuniones mágicas brought illusionism to residential homes for children and young people in Copiapó, Freirina and Vallenar, in an experience developed at the request of Chile's Ministry of Cultures in Atacama.

Through practical workshops, participants learned basic principles of magic, built effects and took on small individual and collective challenges. Observing, practising, making mistakes, solving problems and presenting to others were all part of the same process.

The project used illusionism as a tool for artistic mediation, shifting it from display towards a learning experience grounded in curiosity, participation and collective work.
