Thaumazein is a talk that explores wonder and perception as ways of questioning what we take for granted. Through illusionism, storytelling and observation, Luis Albornoz unsettles expectations and invites us to examine how we construct reality, what happens when our certainties become unstable, and how an artistic experience can awaken attention, questions and new ways of seeing.
Research
Wonder as a form of thought
Created and presented since 2024, Thaumazein deepens an authorial inquiry developed through earlier work: understanding wonder not only as a theatrical effect, but as an experience capable of generating thought. The talk has been presented at Universidad del Desarrollo, connecting artistic creation, perception and the construction of meaning.
